Depression

Living with depression can feel exhausting and isolating. It can affect every part of life, making even the smallest tasks seem overwhelming. You may find yourself feeling low, numb, hopeless or disconnected from the people and things you once enjoyed.

Sometimes depression has an obvious cause, while at other times it can be difficult to understand why you feel the way you do. Counselling offers a space where you don't have to pretend you're okay. Together, we can explore what you're experiencing, what may be contributing to how you feel and what you need, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Domestic Abuse

Experiencing domestic abuse can have a profound and lasting impact, often affecting the way you see yourself, other people and the world around you. Whether you are currently experiencing abuse or trying to make sense of a past relationship, you may be left questioning yourself, struggling to trust your own judgement or finding it difficult to recognise your own needs.

Counselling can provide a safe and non-judgemental space to explore what you have experienced and the impact it has had on you. You will be believed and supported, without pressure to make particular decisions or move forward before you feel ready.

Anxiety & Stress

Anxiety and stress can affect us in many different ways. You may find yourself constantly overthinking, worrying about the future or feeling as though you can never truly switch off. You might feel on edge or overwhelmed, and anxiety can sometimes show up physically too, through tension, a racing heart, difficulty sleeping or an unsettled feeling that is hard to shake.

Counselling can give you space to slow things down and explore what may be behind these feelings. Together, we can begin to understand your anxiety, recognise patterns and triggers, and explore what might help you feel more grounded when things become overwhelming.

Bereavement & Grief

Losing someone important to you can be one of the most painful experiences we face. Bereavement affects everyone differently, and there is no right or wrong way to experience grief. You may feel overwhelming sadness, anger, guilt, relief, confusion or even numbness.

Grief doesn't follow a set timeline, and sometimes the people around us may find it difficult to understand what we're going through. Counselling can offer a space where you don't have to hide or minimise how you feel, allowing you to talk about your loss and what it means to you, at your own pace.

Trauma

Trauma can affect people in many different ways, and there is no single event or experience that defines what is or is not traumatic. Whatever your experience, trauma can leave a lasting impact on the way you think, feel and relate to yourself and others.

You may find yourself feeling on edge, disconnected, overwhelmed by emotions, or noticing that experiences from the past continue to affect you in the present. Counselling can offer a safe space to gently explore what you have experienced and the impact it has had on you, without pressure to share anything before you feel ready.

Sexual Abuse

Experiences of sexual abuse can have a deep and lasting impact, affecting not only how you feel about what happened, but also how you see yourself, your relationships and the world around you. Whenever the abuse happened, the effects can continue long after.

Counselling can offer a safe and confidential space where you can explore your experiences and their impact on you, at your own pace. You will never be expected to share details you don't want to or talk about anything before you feel ready. You remain in control of what you choose to bring to our sessions.
